Dr. Jennifer Hahn is a clinical and forensic psychologist and is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, and the American Psychology-Law Society.

She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology, a master’s degree in community-clinical psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She completed a one-year psychology residency program at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center where she received specialized training in forensic psychology through the Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy.

She has formal training and experience in conducting assessments for competency (e.g., to stand trial, to make treatment decisions, etc.), mental status at the time of offense/insanity, malingering, sentencing, risk of violence, personal injury, disability, substance abuse, and immigration/asylum.

For 15 years, Dr. Hahn worked at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine conducting assessment, treatment, and research in the areas of substance abuse (with an emphasis on opioid dependence) and psychopathology (especially schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and personality disorders, including antisocial personality disorder/psychopathy). She is an expert in psychodiagnostic assessment and the use of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).

For 10 years, she was a Governor-appointed member of the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board (SOAB). As a Board member, she conducted court-ordered sexually violent predator evaluations and pre-release sexual offender risk assessments for probation/parole.

Dr. Hahn has taught graduate courses in forensic psychology. Classes include maladaptive behavior and psychopathology, professional and ethical issues in forensic psychology, forensic psychological assessment, and consultation and testimony in forensic psychology.

Dr. Hahn’s training, experience, and expertise make her uniquely qualified to practice forensic psychology. In her current practice, she is available for consultation, evaluation, and expert witness testimony.
